Ranga sankara...Bangalore has grown to appreciate theatre.

With the kannada film industry on its knees for well over a decade, and with efforts to revive it, by delaying the screening of non-kannada movies having failed, Bangalore, is now rediscovering itself through ‘The Theater’.

The recently inaugurated Ranga Sankara, with a seating capacity of well over 300 is now the talk of the town. With upto four shows in as many languages being screened in a week, the art community will have no reservations acknowledging the ranga sankara to be the best thing to have happened to Bangalore culturally after the ravindra kalakshetra.

With quality shows that start on time, ranga sankara deserves every bit of praise thrown its way. A lot has been written about ranga sankara and every bit of it stands justified, thanks to nicely scripted plays enacted by finely-tuned talented actors and actresses.

In short it is fifty rupees well spent.

Lycos Magee and his views on Bollywood...

Very much in sync with my views on Bollywood….:-)

But I wouldn’t go about promoting LM’s views, for he patronizes aishwarya rai and thinks Bollywood for what it is worth would not last another day without her. His displeasure, at her decision to play the female lead in a bond movie, and the impact her exposed nipples will have on her future assignments as he perceives, don’t warrant space on my blog. Coupling to the rescue....

God, Guns and Gays should take a backseat. Unfortunately a good 51% percent of the american electorate dont share my opinion.

I managed to get my own copy of coupling (on DVD) this week - the only silver lining in the cloud as far as this week goes.

I was just trying to visualize the whole show without Jeff Murdock, the undisputed Kramer of the sitcom. There is no denying the show would have come a cropper if not for his useful insights on all issues trivial. The episode involving Janes dead aunt, where Jeff (trying hard to fight his erection) says, 'that would probably do the trick', to the vicars suggestion that the coffin be opened simply says it all.

I am starting all over again. My first attempt at blogging didnt get me beyond the customary first post. I hope 'Life and Times of' will entertain, and improve with time.
