Ranga sankara...Bangalore has grown to appreciate theatre.
With the kannada film industry on its knees for well over a decade, and with efforts to revive it, by delaying the screening of non-kannada movies having failed, Bangalore, is now rediscovering itself through ‘The Theater’.
The recently inaugurated Ranga Sankara, with a seating capacity of well over 300 is now the talk of the town. With upto four shows in as many languages being screened in a week, the art community will have no reservations acknowledging the ranga sankara to be the best thing to have happened to Bangalore culturally after the ravindra kalakshetra.
With quality shows that start on time, ranga sankara deserves every bit of praise thrown its way. A lot has been written about ranga sankara and every bit of it stands justified, thanks to nicely scripted plays enacted by finely-tuned talented actors and actresses.
In short it is fifty rupees well spent.

Firstly, for someone whose been egging his friends to start blogging u certainly have led by example ... Update ur blog u lazy B!@#$%^.
Secondly, lets face it Kannada movies ain't happenin too much ... and not being able to screen non-kannada movies is like drowning in their own VOMIT !!! Sorry could'nt think of a better analogy !!
I'm all up for THEATRE happening in most cities these days. I think there are a lot really talented young people who definitely don't have the zeal to enter filmdom ... and for those few I think theatre gives them hope to come up with good scripts ... good plots and some fine performances ... it's just that all these people deserve an equally well informed audience and much required appreciation !!! ... just hope justice prevails ...
